Tuesday Dooze – Dooze View, The Sunset
This dog enjoys a view. People laugh when I say this, then look at me strangely once they realize I’m serious.
But Koda and I have been all over our little rock in the sea — the southern facing cliff-side vistas, the outermost tips that disappear into the sea, and this place, Boat Nook, where the sun ends its day every time it’s out — and he lingers at each…until I take out the leash and drag him away.
I like to think it’s because he understands scale…
Both Koda and I took our time at this gorgeous spot yesterday. When the sun shines like this on January 3, you have to take a moment for a mental snapshot in addition to the digital ones, ya know?

So. So. Cute! Is your dog having puppies anytime soon? If so.
I want one. :-p
Well Steph, I hope he’s not having puppies ;)
Hey Theresa,
Love the new expanded look.
Thanks David! I thought of you as I posted this picture of the Dooze today! Theresa
This is such a sweet post, and you have a lovely dog. What breed is Koda? He looks like an Asian dog.
Nasanta,
Koda is a Shiba Inu…a Japanese breed…kind of like a mini Akita. Thanks for stopping by!
What a great shot! Your adorable pup has good taste in views…
Any sun shining in the NW is something to shout about. I can totally understand Koda’s appreciation of the view! Your shot over his head is fabulous!
Taking moments… enjoying them. isn’t that what life is? All these moments in time. It was/is a beautiful one. I do believe Koda knows this also.
You’re so right Claudia! (and Koda thinks so too!)
Koda is beautiful, i can understand why he likes the sunset, it is positively glorious!
thank you for sharing these images with us!
Dennis
The sky looks beautiful!
Beautiful dog. I don’t think it’s strange that he should enjoy a sunset at all … as Pete got more mature, he loved to sit with me outside and sniff the air and look into the distance and just think. believe that he was contemplating the moment, in the way that only dogs can do.It’s an amazing feeling to get to share that with them.
You’re right, Trix…dogs have being in the moment mastered — without even trying.
