
These are the Dooze’s new favourite treats — you see, he’s a bit of a cheese nut.
Cheesy Dog Biscuits
Yield: dozens, depending on the size
| Whole Wheat Flour | 1 C | 250 ml |
| All Purpose Flour | 1 C | 250 ml |
| Corn Meal | ¼ C | 60 ml |
| Strong Cheese, grated (cheddar, parmesan, etc) | ¼ C | 60 ml |
| Lamb or Beef Trimmings, broiled and finely chopped | ¼ C | 60 ml |
| Chicken Stock | ¾ C | 180 ml |
| Egg | 1 large |
C=Cup ml=millilitres
Preheat oven to 325° F
Stir together the flours, corn meal, cheese and meat trimmings. In a separate bowl, whisk together the stock and egg. Add the liquid to the dry and combine well to form a bowl. Allow to rest, covered with a damp cloth, for 10 minutes.
Roll out to about ¼” thick, and cut into desired shapes and sizes. Transfer to a cookie sheet and bake until golden, 30-40 minutes.
Cool in a rack, and store in a cool place in an airtight container.
