Fantastical Places of Pender
Our first stop is the resting place of Luke’s X-Wing. I am, of course, talking about the swamp-planet of Dagobah, where Luke fled in search of the Jedi Master-of-Masters, Yoda.
Next up we have:
Not quite as well known, but equally as powerful a place, is Lothlórien — the fairest forest realm of the Elves in Middle-Earth during the Third Age — and the centre of Elven resistance against Sauron.
And finally, we have the creature that watches over our back yard. Hedwig, I thought when I first met him, but now that he’s up in his corner overlooking everything, I think of him more as Fawkes, Dumbledore’s loyal phoenix — just look at that plumage! Tell me you wouldn’t trust him to defend you from a deadly Basilisk and then shed healing tears upon your wounds…
Aaah — that was good — liberating…I don’t have to hide my love of fantasy from you anymore…maybe I should do this every week? Alrighty, then. Tune in next Monday, when we go picking nettles & mushrooms and end up falling down a rabbit hole…
